Smart Cover Cosmetics - product review

Smart Cover Cosmetics Review-

I just tried some of the Smart Cover products. I started with the medium concealing cream.

It is a very highly pigmented formula used to cover scars, tattoos and port wine marks. I found the Camouflage cream to be a better choice for me as I am looking for a full coverage foundation.

I received the makeup artist kit the kit includes:

You can cover skin imperfections including:
  • Acne
  • Age Spots
  • Birthmarks
  • Dark Eyed Circles
  • Deep Furrows
  • Laser Redness
  • Rosacea
  • Scars
  • Tattoos
  • Varicose Veins
  • Visual signs of aging
  • Vitiligo
  • Wrinkles
  • & Much more!
It retails for 59.75 and is available in light and dark

I will be doing a video tutorial soon and link it here so you can see the products in 'action".

If you are looking to cover a significant area, or like a full coverage foundation , this is a great choice!

Make up and aging a series of tips and pointer to look great at any age!

I am now 51 and have found the makeup I use and love is needing to get tweaked in application.

My eyebrows , like some other areas, that were upright and perky are now sagging a bit lol

There are lots of easy ways to adjust your makeup so you can still be that lovely, glamorous You!

I am going to be blogging about each area so we can look at them separately.

Let's start with foundation-

Ok I know I say more is more, but not when it comes to looking younger and foundation. Here, less IS more. Depending on your skin type and personal preference ANY type of foundation is ok.

I find my skin changes with the seasons, stress and hormones. Sometimes I use cream to powder foundation , sometimes mineral. I happen to love mineral foundations for the lovely coverage, light feel and ease of use. There are many on the market. Natural-Radiance.com has great pressed minerals.

Everyday Minerals.com has really nice loose minerals with several choices of coverage and reasonable prices. I hope to do a review of their products soon!

 1. Make sure your foundation is not too light in color. This will draw attention to lines and wrinkles.

2. Always match the color on your jawline not your wrist.

3. The lightest finishing of powder only so as not to settle in fine lines.

These are just a few ideas to get you started. Remember to build covers, you can always add but it is hard to remove. Blend, blend blend. Have fun! Makeup is magic!

Hi,
Did you have a great weekend?
Are you happy to see the Fall coming in and kids back to school!
Well, for me, an empty nester, it just is a little more quiet in the stores and in the neighborhood.
Being over 50 has some unique benefits and challenges.
I still like my sparkle and love showing ways of being beautiful and glamorous in ways that work for over 30 gals.
I am gearing up to post some reviews of new cosmetics and wigs.
Do you have any favorite you would like to see?
If you check out my Youtube channel dtnj06 you can see some video tutorials and wig reviews.
Thanks for stopping by,

Labor Day weekend summers coming to an end...

Labor Day weekend is here! Fall is fast approaching and I find myself ready to change out the pastel colors and get ready for some deep rich Fall and Winter shades.

It is also time to change your skincare regime too. A dry parched summer skin could you a much richer moisturizer at night. Consider deepening your hair color also.

I am adding in a rich berry lipcolor and some new shades of makeup.

How about you? how do you say goodbye to summer?
